DSF (DSD Stream File) is a container for Direct Stream Digital audio, the encoding technology behind Super Audio CDs (SACD). It uses 1-bit sigma-delta modulation at sampling rates of 2.8224 MHz (DSD64) or 5.6448 MHz (DSD128), capturing audio with extremely high temporal resolution prized by audiophiles.
