The resulting flattened image is encoded as PNG-24 with 8-bit alpha channel using zlib compression level 9 for maximum compression without quality loss. The output preserves the PSD's original resolution, color profile (sRGB or AdobeRGB), and DPI metadata. For PSD files with CMYK color mode, the converter transforms to sRGB for PNG compatibility since PNG does not support CMYK.
PSD to PNG is a lossless conversion — no pixel data is lost. The PNG output is an exact pixel-for-pixel reproduction of the flattened PSD composite. Transparency, color accuracy, and resolution are fully preserved. The only limitation is that layer editability is lost (PNG is a flat format), so keep your original PSD files for future editing.
