Rotate PDF — Free Online Tool
Fix sideways scans — rotate pages 90, 180, or 270 degrees.
About Rotate PDF
Rotating a PDF sounds simple until you realize how often it is needed. Mixed scanner feeds drop pages in alternating orientations. iPhone photos converted to PDF sometimes land sideways because of EXIF metadata that PDF readers ignore. Architectural drawings and floor plans are typically authored landscape but scanned portrait. Real-estate listings, medical records, and old fax archives all suffer the same fate. Our rotate tool flips pages in 90-degree increments with no quality loss because the underlying pdf-lib pipeline modifies the /Rotate dictionary entry on each page — it does not re-render content, so text stays sharp and vector graphics keep their exact original geometry. You can rotate every page in one click, or pick specific pages from the thumbnail picker (handy for documents where only some pages are sideways). Output is byte-for-byte identical to the input except for the rotation flag, so file size barely changes and any embedded digital signatures remain valid as long as the signature did not lock the rotation flag.
How it works
Upload your PDF.
Pick rotation angle: 90° CW, 180°, or 90° CCW.
Optionally select a subset of pages from the thumbnail grid.
Click Apply and download the corrected PDF.

Frequently asked questions
Will rotation reduce quality?
No. We change a metadata flag on each page rather than re-rendering content. Text remains crisp, vector graphics keep their geometry, and embedded images are byte-identical to the source.
Can different pages have different rotations?
Yes. Pick pages individually from the thumbnail picker and apply separate angles, or rotate all at once.
Will digital signatures still validate?
Yes for normal signatures. Some compliance-grade signatures lock the rotation flag — in that rare case our tool will warn you before saving so you do not break the signature.
What about form fields and annotations?
All preserved. Their on-page coordinates are recomputed automatically so the visual position matches the new orientation.
Is this faster than rotating in a PDF reader?
Yes for bulk rotation. Selecting hundreds of pages in Adobe Acrobat's organize panel is slow; our tool processes the whole document server-side in under five seconds for most files.
