Crop PDF — Free Online Tool

Cropping a PDF is the operation of changing the visible-page boundary so unwanted margin, header, or footer content disappears from view. Common reasons: e-readers benefit from tight margins because every square inch of screen real estate matters; old scanned documents often have excessive blank borders that waste paper when printed; journal articles have publisher headers and footers that you want gone before adding to a reference library. The visual crop interface displays your PDF with draggable handles defining the crop area, with a live preview showing exactly how the cropped pages will appear. Apply the same crop to every page or selectively crop different pages (useful for documents with mixed layouts). Under the hood we modify the /CropBox entry on each page object — this is non-destructive cropping where content outside the box is hidden but not deleted, so the operation can be reversed if needed. Optionally enable 'permanently remove cropped content' (a Ghostscript pass) to actually delete the off-page content, which both prevents recovery and shrinks file size. Output preserves all interactive elements (form fields, links, annotations) that fall inside the crop box.
